Nasal Stenosis in Pugs is used n conjunction with other methods and grading schemes to assess Pugs for the breathing problem known as BOAS (Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome).
Nasal Stenosis is measured in Pugs using a grading system from 1 to 4; grade 1 being ‘open nostril’ with a low risk of BOAS, grad 4 being ‘severely stenotic nostrils’ with a high risk of BOAS.
